War Horse Place is managed by Lauren Morales. Originally from Fort Collins, CO, Lauren grew up around Quarter Horses all of her life. It wasn' t until her senior year as an Equine Science major at Colorado State University that she became very intrigued by the thoroughbred industry. Thanks to one of her favorite professors, Lauren decided to move to Lexington to do the KEMI internship. She was an intern at Margaux Farm and after her internship was over she chose to take a permanent position at the farm. Over the first two years she was a division foreman and then Broodmare Manager. Here last year at the farm she held the position of Assistant Farm Manger. Lauren came to us in December 2007 with experience in reproduction and broodmare care, sales prep, nutrition, and post surgical care. Lauren is a well-rounded addition to the farm. Dr. Newton and Lauren have worked together for the last three years and will continue to be a dynamic team.

WHP is located within minutes of the two equine hospitals in the Lexington area. We are proud that
the farm veterinarian is Dr. Chris Newton, who specializes in mare reproduction.
Dr. Newton is one of the finest veterinarians working at the world renowned Rood and Riddle Equine
Hospital. Because of Dr. Newton's efforts, along with the staff at War Horse Place, the farm
maintains an unusually high percentage of mares getting in foal year after year. It is important to
note that many of these are continuously achieved on the first cover.

| Mare nutrition is a large part of total quality care. Our pastures are fertilized and drill-seeded twice annually. This, in combination with the best Kentucky soil
available, produces the lush pastures that make the Bluegrass famous.
