Kitalpha Mating Advice

Kitalpha's sire Mr. Prospector is the breed's undisputed leader as a sire of sires.  Miesque, Kitalpha's dam achieved 12 wins in 16 starts.  Winning in France, England, and the USA, Miesque was Champion Turf female twice, Champion 2-yr old female in France, Champion 3-yr old in England and France, Champion miler in England and France twice, Champion older female in France, highweight older female in Europe at 7-9 ½ furlongs, Breeders' Cup Mile-GI twice, once in ncr time of 1:32 4/5.  As a broodmare Miesque produced five stakes winners. Kitalpha looks like his dam, and is a full brother to Kingmambo.  Like his brother, Kitalpha has launched his career at stud with considerable success.  Similar to Kingmambo, Kitalpha has produced multiple stakes winners in his first two crops to race.  In both his first two crops Kitalpha has sired his country's Champion 2-yr old in each successive year.

At 16.3 hands Kitalpha has a huge stride and a very proportional conformation. Kitalpha's Mr. Prospector/Northern Dancer cross produces excellent results when matched with ND mares.  The prospects for stakes horses are increased when crossed with mares possessing genetic links to his broodmare family.  One can also project favorable results when matching Kitalpha with mares from the Seattle Slew family. One should also include A. P. Indy, and sons of A. P. Indy.

In SAF Kitalpha produced runners from a very diverse group of mares.  In considering matches for Kitalpha,  his full brother, Kingmambo, provides a genetic roadmap.  The ND stallions Nijinsky II, Danzig, Green Dancer, Royal Academy, Storm Cat, Dixieland Band, and of course, Sadlers Wells with his link to Nureyev are all good choices.  Also, to be considered are links back to Ribot, and mares by Alleged.  Crosses to mares tracing to Sharpen Up, and Damascus are also good choices.  Other successes have traced back to the Roberto line, and Mill Reef.
